Doing Our Part to Help Ukraine – We're Supporting the Voices of Children Charity
Watching the news this past week has been overwhelming – we’re at a loss of words at how horrifying the entire situation surrounding the Russian invasion of Ukraine is.
Our thoughts are with those displaced and those on the frontlines of conflicts as the days unfold in uncertainty. But for every dreadful news report we’ve seen, there were also reports of bravery, resilience, strength, kindness and compassion on behalf of the people of Ukraine as well as pouring in from all over the world – and this gives us hope.
As the world comes together to support the fight against injustice, we too are doing our bit to help as much as we can. Learning from some great info resources shared online in the past days, we decided to make a donation from our proceeds to Voices of Children Ukraine.
Why did we choose this charity? Ever since 2015, Voices of Children has been working with children in Ukraine, providing urgently needed psychological and psychosocial support, such as art therapy, psychological and individual help, treatment and rehabilitation, to those affected by armed conflicts. Right now, they are urgently organising and helping find shelters for those fleeing the warzone, purchasing necessities, providing hot meals, providing emergency psychological assistance over the phone, and organising communication channels to provide phone support to the Ukrainian population 24/7. Their work will not end when the worst is over – this is when their original mission of helping victims begins.
Standing up against injustice with like-minded people is an honour. We’d be grateful if you joined us and, if you can, donated directly to the Voices of Children charity.
