Meet the Mila.Vert Team: Blanka

Our team is growing slowly but surely and the time has come for you to meet the team members behind the brand and get to know them a little better. The first one to be introduced has joined our team last – and we couldn’t be happier to have her.

Blanka (@caksblanka) has joined Mila.Vert over the course of the summer. She’s an integral part of our studio team, taking care of our studio samples, overseeing all your orders and placing them into production, as well as receiving returns and packing orders once the goods are ready to be sent your way. She will very likely be in touch with you regarding your orders, resolving all matters swiftly and graciously. Her job description is therefore not a simple one, but Blanka deals with her tasks eagerly and efficiently.

She’s a musician by profession, a brilliant soprano as well as a pianist and a conductor, who studied at Ljubljana’s Academy of Music and still enjoys taking part in various music projects. Just last week, we were able to see her on stage of the Slovenian Philharmonic Hall, receiving a roaring applause as part of a choir in a baroque gem that is Handel’s Alexander’s Feast. She is a huge lover of art and beauty, and spends her free time hiking and conquering peak after peak of Slovenian mountain ranges. Even though her work schedule is full, Blanka’s free time is still connected to what she loves the most.

Before we wrapped up our conversation, we asked her a bunch of questions – and here are her answers.

Describe yourself in three words.

Empathetic, reliable, attentive.

What is your favourite ice cream flavour?

Carob with sprouted buckwheat, a flavour unique to Sladoledarna in Koper, Slovenia.

What is your most often worn Mila.Vert item?

The knitted strap top.

What's your go-to daytrip destination in Slovenia?

Bohinj.

If you could speak another language, which would it be and why?

Norwegian, because the land of fjords and gorgeous nature inspires me.

What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

Everything happens for a reason – sometimes the reason is to push me forward and make me grow.
