Founder’s Letter: Mila.Vert is Saying Goodbye

Dear Mila.Vert community,

After many years of living and breathing for Mila.Vert, it is difficult to bring a story like this to an end.

When I founded Mila.Vert, I believed – perhaps naively, but wholeheartedly – that fashion could be done differently. I believed that strong core values could build a brand strong enough to stand its ground in an industry driven by speed and excess. For years, the team and I gave our everything.

From the beginning, we chose the harder path. We insisted on high-quality materials, careful craftsmanship and a local production. This meant higher costs, but it also meant transparency and fair working conditions. As a small independent brand with limited resources, competing with global companies operating at entirely different scales has become increasingly challenging. The industry has changed dramatically. It is saturated and overproduction has become the norm. Added to this are unpredictable tariffs in key markets such as the US and the UK, making international growth even more uncertain.

And still, what we built together means everything. Mila.Vert exported to more than ten markets, partnered with over 40 stockists and shipped our products to three continents. We were trusted by thousands of women who choose consciously and still wear their pieces with pride. We built a brilliant team, meaningful partnerships and long-standing friendships. The relationships within our team and with our partners have been one of the greatest gifts of this journey.

At the same time, important structural changes are beginning to take shape at EU level in the field of textile regulation and waste management. New legislation is focusing on extended producer responsibility, circular systems and greater accountability across the supply chain. These changes signal a necessary shift towards a more responsible industry. They also reaffirm something we have always believed in – that well-made garments, created with care and quality materials, deserve to be worn and will continue to serve you beautifully for seasons and years ahead.

To our customers, collaborators, family and friends – thank you. Your trust, encouragement and loyalty carried us further than I ever imagined, even when our future was uncertain. You helped us move forward time and time again.

In the upcoming days, I will share what this next chapter looks like.

With love and gratitude,

Tina Logar Bauchmüller, founder of Mila.Vert
